Parcels of Hope

Parcels of Hope
Parcels of Hope is a food ministry of our church and is dedicated to the memory of Tina Fambro who began this ministry in December of 2011 to meet the needs of those who do not qualify for the Greater Works program.  Using a downstairs classroom, Tina began feeding several families a month.  Before long it was necessary to move to the Scout Hut where we now serve as many as 200 families a month.  Following Tina's death in March 2015, Reverend Beth Harrington served as director, and currently Myrt Ostrowski serves as director.  An average of 5 volunteers open the pantry each Wednesday from 8 am - 1 pm.

Parcels of Hope is funded by plate offerings, memorial and individual gifts, fundraisers and grants.  Since we are able to purchase food from West Texas Food Bank in Odessa, we are able to make a dollar go a long way.  This makes monetary donations especially helpful. However, we always appreciate donations of any of the items listed below.

  •  canned Meats - all kinds
  •  canned vegetables - all kinds but especially green beans, corn and mixed  vegetables
  •  beans - canned or dried
  •  pasta - all kinds
  •  soups - all kinds
  •  breakfast foods - all kinds
  •  canned fruit - all kinds
  •  rice, sugar, crackers, chips, salt/pepper, Crisco, Jell-o,
  •  instant potatoes, and cornbread mix
  •  personal hygiene items

If you have questions or wish to volunteer, please contact the church office at 943-2516.
